Standard testing process

Qualoo implements a fair and methodical system for its regular internet testing procedure across the Test Network. Here is a detailed description of the testing process:

  1. Testing Schedule: Tests are run at regular intervals across the Test Network (e.g., every 15 minutes). This regular testing forms the basis for the core products that Qualoo provides to clients.

  2. Coordination via API: Before each testing round, the Qualoo platform communicates with Test Nodes via an API. This allows Test Nodes to coordinate the timing of their tests and the submission of their results. It also allows Qualoo to assign test slots to Test Nodes.

  3. Geographic Representation: Qualoo ensures that the data collected is geographically representative by allocating a specific number of test slots per country and region within that country for each testing round.

  4. Oversubscription: In regions where there are more active Test Nodes than available test slots, Qualoo allocates slots based on several factors. These factors include the user's service provider, specific location, the quality of past submissions, how long it has been since the user last submitted test results, and certain metadata, such as the quality of the user's mobile signal for Mobile Test Nodes.

This rigorous testing process enables Qualoo to collect comprehensive and reliable data on internet performance from a wide range of locations and service providers. It ensures the fairness of test distribution and prioritizes geographic representativeness and data quality.
